Director statement regarding reporting for duty:
All John D. Dingell VA Medical Center facilities are operating on their normal schedules.  Employees are expected to adhere to the routine notification process if unable to report for duty.

Today, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued a legal order directing residents to stay at home beginning Tuesday, March 24, at 12:01 a.m.  The order permits essential activities as necessary for the health and safety for individuals and their families. Essential businesses allowed to operate during the recommended action include health care operations…”  Work throughout our healthcare system is considered by definition essential.
